2024年度台湾研修事前学習１回目

Yesterday, 16 Hibarigaoka students and 18 St. Peter students met online for the first of this year's pre-Taiwan trip activities.

First, students got to know each other in the groups they will be working with. They introduced themselves and chatted in English about things like free time, school life, and so on.

Next, they started preparing for this year's project. This year, the students will make and conduct surveys about cultural differences before they meet in the spring. The first step was to discuss in their groups and choose topics. However, because many students always talk about food (food is yummy!), the teachers will use that topic as their example, and the students had to choose other topics.

This discussions went well, so next the students had to start making their questions for the survey. This is where the activities ended, so students will communicate with their group members and finish their list of questions before the second meeting.

Overall, the activities went very well. It was especially pleasing to see and hear how actively everyone communicated in English despite it being all participants' second language.
