2023年度第６回即興型英語ディベート
On Monday September 25th from 15:45 to 17:45, we held the sixth debate meeting of the year.
As today was the second time of having two debates and there were no messages to give, we started quickly. The first topic was Japan should increase defense spending.(日本は防衛費を増額すべきである。) The second was Entrepreneurship should be pursued rather than employment at a big company.(大企業での就職よりも、起業を目指すべきである。)
Both debates went very well. Of note were the level of preparations made by some students, the notes take during the debates, the lengths of some students' speeches, and the number of POIs. Also, all students seem to be growing in confidence as volume, eye contact and use of gestures are improving for everyone.
