カナダ中期留学レポート②
カナダに1月から留学中の、中学3年生2名の生徒からレポートが届いています。ちょうど一ヶ月たったタイミングでのレポートです。
It has been about a month since I came to Canada. There are several situations where I feel I have grown this month. I am now able to keep up with the classes at school without difficulty, and if I have a chance to stop by a café or shop, I am able to have a conversation with store clerks. I feel that my life in Canada has become more fulfilling because of this.
At school, a new semester (subjects and timetables change) started around the end of January. When I first came to Canada, there were no international students studying at the same time, but with this semester's change, people from many different countries are now studying. There were about 10 international students from England, China, Korea, and Japan. We studied together in an English class for international students called ELL, and since we were all at about the same English level, we quickly became friends.
And on my days off, I go sightseeing in Vancouver with my host mother and school friends. Even in the city, I saw many animals when I walked around. I saw birds, squirrels, rabbits, and many other kinds of animals. I am spending every day relaxing in rich nature. (Iさんのレポート②)
Semester 2 has started! I take science, computer, PE, and food classes. In computer class, we do programming with python. It is a little difficult, but it is fun. In PE class, we run, run and run. First, we jog for about 10 minutes. Then, we play the game. We must run from one side of the gym to the other side and the person who hit the ball while running drops out. We have to run until all of the members drop out, so it was really hard. The next day, I had bad muscle pain.
The Italian student came here this week. She is kind and friendly. I had "adobo". It is a traditional food in Philippines. Also, I had tacos last Saturday. They were really good!
I went to Minoru Park last week. There were many animals. I saw squirrels, ducks, and a rabbit. I went there with Tim Hortons' coffee and donuts. Tim Hortons is famous in Canada more than Starbucks. I had double-double coffee and donuts. The double-double means 2 shots of sugar and 2 shot of milk. The adult may think it is too sweet, but it was really good for me. (Sさんのレポート②)
