【アメリカ】留学レポート⑪

10 months have passed since I came to the USA. In April, We went to Spokane again for FBLA club state competition, which was continued from the past regional competition. I competed in Business plan and Data analysis. I did the presentation in front of the judges. I did well but I couldn't make it to the top 10. One of our members got 4th place in Business law, which was a test event, and he got an award in the award ceremony. As Bethel high school we got an award for most increased-percentage of members. We hung out in downtown Spokane, played Roblox in the hotel room, ate delicious food in the restaurants, and participated in workshops. It was a fun trip overall. We finally did the musical show in the drama club. We performed three days in a row. There were some accidents such as microphones not working for several seconds, or a cup was broken during the show even though it was not supposed to be. But I was a little surprised and glad that we did very well besides the accidents. I will not forget the sense of accomplishment after the first show. I performed as part of an ensemble and as a guard.

I was invited to my high school friend Chris's birthday party. There were about 30 people who were his friends, which I felt was American culture. In the morning, we went to Paintball, after that we came back to his house. His family is from Mexico, so we ate a bunch of Mexican foods, which were all delicious. I gave him a Japanese fan as a birthday gift.

In the civil air patrol, we had a potluck night, we brought food from each house and had a party in a usual Tuesday meeting. I made roasted soybeans with a sweet taste on them by using honey and sugar. I knew that American people don't eat soybeans so much, but a lot of people ate them and they say it was good, so I was glad about it. We played football after we ate food.

I can't believe that my life here is almost done. Time has been passing so so fast. Next report will be the last one, so I hope you will enjoy it.
