英語の時間に、中学３年生が『尊敬する人』について書きました。
とても上手に英語でかけているので、一部ブログで紹介します。
（生徒の原稿そのまま紹介します。多少のミスはお許しください。）

The person I respect is Senno Rikyuu.

He was born in Sakai in 1522. He was a merchant and master of the tea ceremony. He made up the rules of the tea ceremony. Before that, the tea ceremony was one of the amusements, but Rikyuu changed it to art. He served Oda Nobunaga and Toyotomi Hideyoshi and he served tenka-bito and their guests. He was respected by the people around him, but Hideyoshi was afraid of Rikyuu's power, so he ordered Rikyuu to kill himself. Rikyuu died on April 21 of 1591.

"茶道"とは、単にお茶を飲むだけでなく、そこに精神的な深さを追及するものである。利休は、『人生は何がおこるかわからない。だからこそ、今あなたに会えたこの瞬間を大切にしたい。』という"一期一会の精神"を一杯のお茶に込めたと伝えられている。
