On Saturday February 4th at Kobe College, our team won the Hanshin Private High School ESS Union Presentation Contest!

This year, eight teams from schools such as Nada, Kobe College, Kwansei Gakuin and so on participated in the contest. This was an enjoyable return to pre-Covid levels and made the contest more competitive and exciting. The theme was Time Travel Trip to the Past: Where, When and Why? Each team presented their idea and were asked two questions about their idea. The theme meant there were a variety of different and interesting ideas, such as Kobe in the 1970s, the time of the French Revolution, and so on.

Our team presented a trip to the city of Edo during the Edo Period where the traveling students could learn about Edo people's ecologically friendly way of living. They made the presentation like the kind of 説明会 that students actually attend with an MC teacher, another teacher who explained why they would go, two staff members from a travel company, and a letter from a student who went on the trip the year before. This style made the presentation very engaging and the judges praised them highly in the comments.

The team had been working hard on this contest since before the winter vacation, so we were delighted that their efforts paid off. Congratulations!!!
